Mailing Supervisor

Position

This position will be responsible for working alongside and leading our experienced, dynamic mailing team in running an efficient and effective department that provides our customers with the highest quality service. Three to five years previous experience in a high volume, fast paced mailing department is preferred. The right candidate will be mechanically inclined, be comfortable with Excel and Mailing Manager software and have in depth experience with mailing equipment such as inserters, tabbers and Inkjets.
 
This is an hourly first shift position, 7am- 3:30 PM Monday- Friday, overtime when needed.  Hourly wage is commiserating with experience. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage department workflow to successfully complete customer orders to their specifications and delivery time.
  • Create and manage the daily schedule of department associates to meet the department goals.
  • Evaluate the quality of the departments output, coach and cross train associates to meet those goals, including machine knowledge, company processes and US postal service requirements.
  • Overall responsibility to achieve all goals related to the job cost, quality and on time production of the customers products being shipped or mailed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and train own staff to work in a safe manner consistent with WestCamp policies.
  • Coordinate customer jobs between other departments when necessary including working with other department supervisors and stakeholders.
  • Communicate issues including production, inventory and equipment maintenance with executive management.
  • Prepare data files for production of customers’ material using Excel and postal presort software.
  • Scan all jobs for data error ensuring quality of produced material and minimize fines from USPS.
  • Analyze processes and suggest change to improve department efficiency and quality of product.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance.
  • Review and approve department time cards and evaluate department associates.

Duties:

  • Demonstrate ability to lead, coach, and develop a highly functional team to meet WestCamp goals and objectives.
  • Ability to analyze requirements of printing job against available resources, timelines and prioritize accordingly to meet company objectives.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and USPS mailing requirements and processes and Postal presort software.
  • Thorough knowledge of mailing print equipment, such as inserters, Inkjets and Tabbers.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
