Baesman Group, a nationally recognized provider of direct-to-consumer and in-store marketing strategy and execution, is seeking an experienced Data Services Programmer for direct mail to join their growing team. This role is responsible for all aspects of preparing mail lists, including manipulation and preparation of data for use in personalized and direct mail applications for postal presort, laser and inkjet imaging, and distribution list processing.
The Data Services Programmer is responsible for all aspects of preparing mail list, including manipulation and preparation data for use in personalized and direct mail applications for postal presort, laser and inkjet imaging, and distribution list processing.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for importing, processing, and manipulating mailing lists from clients and performing various mail verification checks to ensure accuracy of lists.
- Responsible for doing cleanup through merging/purging and deduping.
- Understands postal processing methods and prepares files for rate optimization.
- Handles all necessary paperwork for jobs. This could include postage statements, qualification reports, tray tags, placards and entry-point listings.
- Stays current on any postal regulations impacting mailing and USPS requirements. Effectively communicates this information to Client Services, Sales and project management teams.
Experience/Skills:
- 2+ years of experience working with mailing lists, preferably in a printing environment.
- 2+ years of experience working with professional mailing software such as BCC Mail Manager and/or similar software.
- Must possess a very clear understanding of USPS requirements for Presort and Postal One.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Experience working in GMC Inspire, Fusion Pro or other variable imaging software.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision. Uses appropriate judgment in various situations.
- Exceptional organization and prioritization skills.
