Still Looking for Employees?

An ongoing challenge facing printers is recruiting and retaining skilled production workers. While attracting workers to the printing industry has been a challenge for many years, it is only intensifying in an economy that is undergoing a digital transformation. Attracting digitally savvy employees who may regard printing as less exciting than other industries only amplifies the challenge. Finding and keeping skilled production staff is a key competitive pillar for individual companies and for the entire printing industry. Printers are often in need of skilled pressmen and bindery workers. In fact, finding qualified employees is something many of them struggle with. Bindery workers are in especially high demand throughout our area.

As the Columbus Dispatch production work closes down in Columbus, Graphic Media Alliance has offered to help find employment opportunities for any displaced Dispatch employees and assist in connecting them with local printing and graphic communication companies. Our goal is to connect skilled employees with printing companies in our area, as a service to our members. There is no cost associated with this process.

Interested employees have been informed to email their resume detailing printing/bindery experience, along with their job location requirements to the Association.

If you are interested in finding employees, please contact Judy Kellum or Jim Cunningham and we will put you in contact with candidates.
