Mark Potter to Speak at 2020 Leadership Conference
Mark Potter will be discussing his perspective on the pandemic, the state of our industry and how to move forward. He thinks our industry has a remarkable opportunity to fill the emotional gap that existed prior to the pandemic but has widened since.
Mark Potter is the CEO of Conduit Inc., a content marketing organization, which produces a variety of custom publications and community building programs for brands all over the country. He is the owner of CANVAS Magazine and the author of the book, Egrets, Hockey Sticks, & Roller Skates.
Mark launched Conduit Inc. in 2007 and has built it into a robust, award winning agency. Before chasing his dream of building connections for his clients through the use of storytelling, Mark was the Vice President of Marketing for Unisource Worldwide, where he was responsible for directing strategic marketing for the $6 billion company. Mark has created, sourced and launched multiple brands and effectively established and managed a variety of successful product segments over his career.
Mark holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Hilton School of Business at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. He defines himself as a husband, a father, a marketing mind and a really bad adult league hockey player. He currently resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with his wife, Alicia and two kids, Joey and Laney.
Mark Monday, September 14, on your calendar for the Graphic Media Alliance (GMA) annual Leadership Conference. This conference has received rave reviews for a number of years and promises to be another fantastic LEARNING experience. Even though it will be structured a little differently this year, there will still be plenty of NETWORKING opportunities with your Association and industry peers!
Nationally known speakers will be presenting via Zoom and as a conference attendee, you can choose to attend from your office, conference room or in-person. If you’re tired of virtual, virtual, virtual and would like to safely network with your friends and peers, then join us in person! Michigan members can attend in West Bloomfield Township at the Marshbank Lodge and Ohio & Kentucky members can join us in Westerville, Ohio at the Everal Barn and Homestead. We have reserved these beautiful all-weather, safety-minded outdoor meeting facilities to host our great networking and educational events. GMA staff and Board members will welcome Michigan and regional members and friends to view the Zoomed presentations together, while enjoying refreshments, lunch and in-person interactions. Between the national Zoom presentations, local activities will include regional speakers, raffles and contests. PEA Best of Category and Best of Show winners will be recognized during the Millcraft Grand Ceremony presentation immediately following lunch, and winners can receive their awards in-person if attending the local conference site.

Golf
The Annual Graphic Media Alliance Sterling Distribution Golf Tournament will be held at the Delaware Golf Club in Delaware, Ohio (just north of Columbus) on Monday, September 21! The original nine holes at Delaware were designed by famed golf architect, Donald Ross, and the newer nine by Fuzzy Zoeller. Delaware is a unique and challenging course that will set the stage for a great day of golf.
This is an IN-PERSON tournament just like every year and will be an incredible opportunity to get out and enjoy a great round of golf and networking, not to mention the great food and drink!
We will have a number of contests and prizes, as always, and the winning foursome will claim the coveted Printing Industry Cup. Don't wait, sign up now and start practicing for another great day of golf with friends and peers!
