Summary:

Baesman Group, a nationally recognized provider of direct to consumer and in-store marketing strategy and execution is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee all building-related activities. This position reports to the VP of Operations and is responsible for preserving infrastructure and ensuring that facilities are safe and well-functioning. The ideal candidate will be extremely organized and able to juggle multiple priorities at once handling electrical, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, grounds, parking lot, alarm system, water/sewer, and other systems required for the continuing optimum operation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversees all building and grounds maintenance for multiple locations in Central Ohio.
Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, HVAC, electricity, plumbing, etc.) and refurbishments.
Manage the upkeep of building equipment to meet health and safety standards.
Annual Inspection of buildings’ structures and property to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
Supervise all facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors.
Ensure the facilities are clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures.
Manage and review service contracts, negotiates rates as needed.
Control activities like waste disposal, building security etc.
Ensure that all site-specific documentation and reports are completed accurately and on time.
Keep financial and non-financial records of work performed.
Conduct training, monitoring, and reporting on OHSA safety compliance.
Ensures emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly.

Requirements:

5-10 years proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position.
Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
Able to perform electrical, plumbing, basic carpentry repairs and installations.
Self-Starter with proven ability to identify, prioritize, and manage projects with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Demonstrated analytical/critical thinking skills.

Preferred Requirements:

BS/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field.
Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFM) will be an advantage.
CMMS or Work Order Management experience

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand , kneel, walk, 8+ hours per day
Ability to lift up to 75lbs repeatedly throughout the day
Ability to pass drug screening and pre-employment background check
