There is a resurgence of an old scam in which a supposed customer requests a quote, sends payment, and the unsuspecting recipient fulfills the order—only to later discover that the payment was either fraudulent or altered. By that time, the victim has already invested in materials, postage, and labor, making it too late to recover the losses.
The only way to stop these criminals is to raise awareness.
