5 AI Lessons From the 6 Months of 2025
June 30 marks the halfway point of the year—and what a first half it’s been.
Back on 1/1/25, I was an AI rookie. Today, I use it every day and apply it to almost every part of my sales process. If you're still figuring it out, here are 5 quick AI lessons that might help:
- You’re not the only newbie. Lots of people still haven’t embraced AI. You’re not alone—but…
- You are behind. Waiting any longer puts you at a disadvantage. It’s time to start learning.
- Start with a problem. Use this prompt in ChatGPT: “I’m struggling with [X]. How can AI help me?” Start small. Then scale.
- Adopt a “What if?” mindset. Every task should trigger a thought: “Could AI help me do this faster or better?” Sometimes it can. Sometimes it can’t. But asking is the key.
- Yes, it takes time. Take it. Especially for us legacy reps with routines baked in, learning new tools is a speed bump. But the time you invest now pays off big later.
This summer? Use the slowdown to sharpen the saw. The second half of 2025 is coming—and AI might just be your competitive edge.
Still think AI’s not for you?
The rest of us will be selling more in less time. You’ll be… catching up.
