Maintenance Mechanic Technicians

Location: Wolverine Solutions Group, 1601 Clay, Detroit, MI 48211-1913

We will train the right person with mechanical experience. Eligible for overtime and shift premium.

Company Information: Wolverine Solutions Group is a full-service document management company, specializing in direct mail production and document management services We provide customized, cutting-edge solutions for document execution, hard copy or electronic, for our clientele in both local and national markets.

Summary: The purpose of this position is to set up, maintain and repair all equipment at Wolverine Solutions Group. The technician is expected to work cooperatively with the Production Supervisors to assist with equipment maintenance needs. Training machine operators in the daily maintenance and setup of their machines and making them more effective is a large part of this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for all mechanical and electrical infrastructure
  • Maintain equipment in best working order
  • Machine setups
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Maintain equipment safety standards
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Keep spare parts orderly and available
  • Stock required maintenance items
  • Minimize maintenance costs
  • Troubleshoot problems

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic working with machinery, parts, belts, pullies.

Language Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve mechanical problems and deal with a variety of equipment. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows environment.

  • Basic electrical circuitry knowledge
  • Creative solutions for maximum production
  • Modify equipment as required
  • Train machine leads
  • Maintain and secure tools
  • Maintain equipment safety guards
  • Vendor Management

Schedule: 7-3:30 pm (Wed-Sun) and 3:30-12 pm

Salary: $19.00 per hour with no mailing experience. $2,500 sign-on bonus.
