Virus Management

Source: Adriane Harrison, Printing Industries of America, February 26, 2020

Will your business be affected by absenteeism and supply chain issues related to viruses this season?

While the coronavirus has grabbed all the headlines, the number of confirmed cases people catching the virus in the United States is under 20 as of this writing, and those are located in only seven states. In contrast, the flu and influenza-like illnesses (ILI) have stormed through the United States this year, with 46 states reporting high activity, showing more than 140,000 new cases each week this year. There is a global shortage of masks to prevent inhalation of either virus, but experts recommend thorough hand washing and minimizing the touching of noses and mouths. Encourage employees to wash hands frequently and put antibacterial hand sanitizer in the common areas of your facility.
