Facilities Manager
Baesman
Summary:
Baesman Group, a nationally recognized provider of direct to consumer and in-store marketing strategy and execution is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee all building-related activities. This position reports to the VP of Operations and is responsible for preserving infrastructure and ensuring that facilities are safe and well-functioning. The ideal candidate will be extremely organized and able to juggle multiple priorities at once handling electrical, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, grounds, parking lot, alarm system, water/sewer, and other systems required for the continuing optimum operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees all building and grounds maintenance for multiple locations in Central Ohio.
- Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, HVAC, electricity, plumbing, etc.) and refurbishments.
- Manage the upkeep of building equipment to meet health and safety standards.
- Annual Inspection of buildings’ structures and property to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
- Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
- Supervise all facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors.
- Ensure the facilities are clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures.
- Manage and review service contracts, negotiates rates as needed.
- Control activities like waste disposal, building security etc.
- Ensure that all site-specific documentation and reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Keep financial and non-financial records of work performed.
- Conduct training, monitoring, and reporting on OHSA safety compliance.
- Ensures emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly.

Requirements:
- 5-10 years proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position.
- Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
- Able to perform electrical, plumbing, basic carpentry repairs and installations.
- Self-Starter with proven ability to identify, prioritize, and manage projects with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated analytical/critical thinking skills.
Preferred Requirements:
- BS/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFM) will be an advantage.
- CMMS or Work Order Management experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand , kneel, walk, 8+ hours per day
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs repeatedly throughout the day
- Ability to pass drug screening and pre-employment background check
