ITU AbsorbTech Receives State and Federal Recognition

Source: ITU AbsorbTech, December 12, 2025

ITU AbsorbTech has received state and federal recognition for its veteran workforce development efforts. The company was designated a 2025 Vets Ready Employer (Gold Award, large-business category) by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and received a 2025 Gold HIRE Vets Medallion Award from the U.S. Department of Labor.

The Vets Ready Employer Initiative highlights Wisconsin employers with strong veteran workforce practices. Twenty-five employers statewide received the designation this year.

The HIRE Vets Medallion Award, the only federal recognition of its kind, honors employers that meet rigorous standards for recruiting, employing, and retaining veterans. The award is administered by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS) and was established by the Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans (HIRE Vets) Act of 2017.

“Veterans bring experience, discipline, and dedication that align with who we are at ITU AbsorbTech and how we operate,” said Craig Bald, President and CEO of ITU AbsorbTech. “These awards aren’t about us. They recognize the real impact veterans make and our responsibility to support meaningful careers, both for the veterans on our team today and those transitioning into civilian work.”

The Vets Ready Employer awards are presented by DWD in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs, Disabled American Veterans Department of Wisconsin, Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve (ESGR), the Wisconsin American Legion, and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.

ITU AbsorbTech currently employs 21 active service members and veterans across its operations, contributing to leadership development, safety performance, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Congratulations AbsorbTech!
